Overview

The Realtime Collaboration and Communication Platform team in Dresden, Germany, is looking for an empathic, structured and passionate Engineering Manager for our growing Transport Team to develop cutting-edge transport protocol stacks for real-time media transmission for a fast-growing communication and collaboration company.

 

As a manager and seasoned C++ developer, you and your team will be responsible for delivering first class connectivity to enable a superior real-time media experience for our communication and collaboration products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage a team of experienced software engineers
  • Act as Product Owner for the feature backlog, work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to align on priorities and timelines
  • Steer and ensure the development of robust, efficient, scalable and reliable network stacks
  • Identify important trends and developments within the community, the industry and standardization organizations
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for delivering first class real-time connectivity
  • Enable and support the team in research and IP creation

 

Qualifications:

  • Talent and passion for managing a team of highly skilled engineers
  • Experience working in an agile and lean environment
  • Knowledge in transport and internet protocols and concepts
  • Profound knowledge of the C++ language in its modern forms
  • Experience in real-time media transmission and streaming of live media is a plus
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
