    As Principal Product Security Engineer, you will report to the Manager of Product Security at one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in the world.  You will play a key role in LogMeIn’s Product Security team: You will partner with product management and engineering teams, setting security priorities, administering the security development process, doing security design reviews, and coaching security champions.

    If you enjoy analyzing system services and applications from a security perspective, have a strategic mindset to targeting overarching risks, and you are skilled at critically reviewing source code and system design, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity.

    Based in Bangalore, India, you will be working closely with the LogMeIn security engineering team worldwide.  As such, occasional business travel to various U.S. and European locations will be part of your journey.


    • Perform security focused architecture and code reviews, assessments, and evaluations
    • Mentor application security engineers and software engineers on all aspects of application and infrastructure engineering security
    • Expand the local Bangalore Security Champion program at LogMeIn to gain additional insight into challenges surrounding security needs, and provide feedback and guidance for the global program
    • Manage complex security projects requiring cross-departmental coordination with minimal guidance; to include planning, scheduling, and delivering of reports and other documentation
    • Identify areas where our programs can be improved (especially through automation), and develop and execute plans to implement them
    • Convey a compelling security vision to stakeholders at various levels In Bangalore and across the entire company
    • Conduct independent research to assist in solving complex security issues
    • Collaborate with the product security team on program direction, team growth, and security issues


    • 10+ years hand-on application or infrastructure security work experience
    • Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle models and secure coding techniques
    • Knowledge of techniques, standards, and state of the art capabilities for security testing automation (SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST)
    • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, specifically Java, .NET Framework languages, and common scripting frameworks
    • Deep knowledge in finding vulnerabilities in desktop, mobile and server applications
    • Fluent written and spoken English
    • Experience working with high volume Web systems or large transaction Client-Server systems
    • Curious and self-motivated: must be passionate about Security; decisive and confident
    • Proven ability to work independently while being part of a team
    • Must be focused, energetic, meet commitments, willing to take ownership, have excellent judgment and integrity


    Good to have:

    • Proficiency in Docker and/or Kubernetes
    • Proficiency in Cloud Security: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
    • Security community recognized application security thought leader
    • Relevant security and privacy certifications such as CISSP, SANS, etc.
    • Relevant 4-year college degree, ideally with a focus on information security or computer science
