• Pre-Sales Implementation Engineer, LastPass

  • Overview

    As a Pre Sales Implementation Engineer for LastPass, you will be supporting the Solutions Consulting team and working with the client to provide guidance on configuration and implementation of the LastPass Identity suite of solutions.  You will be working  with the client on pre-sales troubleshooting, scoping and planning, understanding the clients environment and working with the client to insure a successful proof of concept, which includes the integration of LastPass with third party applications.  You will also play a critical role in working cross functionally with the LastPass development, product, support, documentation, sales, and customer success management teams. This is an essential role in helping our customers understand the capabilities of our products, overcoming any technical challenges and ensuring their success throughout the evaluation process.  


    • Partnering with other Solutions Consulting team members and functioning as the technical expert for prospects throughout the sales cycle
    • Supporting the successful execution of Pilots / POCs by scope, management, execution and monitoring of the process with the customer 
    • Guiding prospects through the configuration of their environments as it relates to LastPass
    • Assist customers with their pre-sales technical issues and function as the point person with the client, working cross functionally to ensure that their issues are solved in a timely manner
    • Assist in clearly documenting the clients business/technical objectives with the ability to provide product demonstrations where needed
    • Stay current on the competitive landscape and provide product feedback on customer needs related to product and future roadmap
    • Work closely with the Solutions Consultants and other groups at LogMeIn to troubleshoot and escalate, providing detailed information to diagnose and resolve customer issues. Communicate with customers by email, phone, online meetings and supporting onsite visits for presentations and training workshops


    • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Technology / Software  
    • Pre Sales Technical Sales Experience in a fast paced SaaS organization preferred 
    • Excellent spoken and written English language skills 
    • Ability to succinctly present technical information competently and confidently to customers 
    • Ability to handle business and technical question and answer sessions during meetings 
    • Ability to develop a solid understanding of our customers' architecture, site, security, and technical operational requirements to include this information in a solution that meets their needs
    • Ability to learn, understand and work quickly with emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions
    • Strong troubleshooting capabilities helping to overcome any technical hurdles with adopting and deploying LogMeIn solutions during the presales process 
    • Have a deep understanding of Microsoft operating systems, active directory, Forests, OU, group policy, federation, APIs, firewall configuration, SSO, MFA, VPN, and computer networking concepts
    • Experience with Enterprise environments, including: 
    • Protocols (e.g. SAML, LDAP, RADIUS, OAuth, OIDC, OpenID Connect, SCIM, REST APIs) 
    • Directory Services (e.g. Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Okta, OneLogin, G-Suite) 
    • Enterprise Software Deployment (e.g. Cloud services, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Mobile Device Management, Group Policy Object (GPO)) 
    • Work in a team spirit, with the ability to work independently when needed 
    • Strong time management skills
