    Exciting accounting opportunity in a leading US global SaaS company within its international shared services center located in the center of Budapest. The GL Staff Accountant role is within the Corporate Controllers’ organization and will report to the Company’s GL Team Lead located in Budapest with key responsibilities during the monthly and quarterly financial close. The position will be responsible for several key accruals / reconciliations, vendor payment processing, and balance sheet and income statement analyses. This role requires strong collaboration, coordination, and communication skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close for key areas including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals
    • Prepare journal entries and ensure that the general ledger activity is accurate and complete
    • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and accruals for various general ledger accounts
    • Responsible for fixed asset accounting including maintaining and reconciling fixed asset activity in fixed asset inventory system and recording monthly depreciation expense
    • Work directly with internal IT and Datacenter teams to track fixed assets
    • Support the international Shared Service Center accounts payable team with review of invoices
    • Assist the international Shared Service Center accounts payable team with vendor inquiries regarding payment of invoices
    • Maintain the AP aging and prepare weekly payment runs
    • Ensure compliance with the Company's existing SOX and internal control processes

     

    Qualifications

    • 1-2 years of full scale accounting experience
    • BS in Accounting required
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
    • Excellent time management, decision-making, analytical and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong work ethic, wants to learn and be challenged, self-driven and motivated
    • Strong Excel skills

     

    Preferred qualifications

    • Experience with a public company and/or high-tech industry experience preferred
    • NetSuite or comparable accounting software experience is a plus
