    LogMeIn is looking for an awesome software engineer with a knack for designing, building, and operating a complex development platform and automation infrastructure covering multiple technologies and programming languages. 


    This is a team of doers. We don't hide behind external reviews and change control boards. We are responsible for the automated testing, design, choice of tools, deployment, operation, and lifecycle of our infrastructure. With this autonomy comes great responsibility. To make this work, we expect everyone on the team to understand the impact their changes might have on other teams and the platform as a whole and to consider all aspects of software design on a daily basis.

    Based on a microservices architecture, Jive by LogMeIn's engineering department is made up of small autonomous and independent teams operating in Agile mode. 


    As a member of the development team that owns the infrastructure platform, your responsibilities include evaluating and applying new technologies, managing and resolving operational incidents, and supporting product development teams using your team’s infrastructure platform. The team develops and manages critical platform features such as container based virtualization, database provisioning and operations, logging, metrics, service discovery, and others. The team uses both open-source and built-from-scratch elements in a variety of programming languages (mostly Go and Python). Focus is on automation, reliability and scalability. The team’s direct customers are other development teams who build real-time communications applications on top of the shared infrastructure. 


    • 5+ years of engineering experience in the software industry 
    • Good knowledge of backend software development, shared components, system-to-system integration 
    • Good knowledge of build and release environments and workflows 
    • Experience with software development on Linux/Unix 
    • Knowledge of container development and orchestration is a plus 
    • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance as part of a truly global team 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline, OR equivalent professional experience
