    LogMeIn Global Procurement was formed in 2016 and has significantly grown to support the organization’s direct and indirect purchasing needs. We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead to support primarily Information Technology (IT) categories. This role will be instrumental in building a scalable Global Procurement function.

    The Strategic Sourcing Lead must be self-motivated and experienced in driving positive results within all areas of the Technology category including: Software, Product, Hardware, Cloud & IT Services, and Telecom. This is an individual contributor role. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and leading a growing category

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct in-depth category analysis, supplier rationalization, and understand LogMeIn and business leaders’ objectives and strategy. Identify how Global Strategic Sourcing can support strategy through conducting sourcing events (RFx), savings opportunities, supplier consolidation, and alternative purchasing strategies

    • Partner with Corporate-IT, Tech Ops, Security, Engineering, Product Teams, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs, and develop and execute clear category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement strategies that support LogMeIn’s business objectives.  Core categories include IT-Software, Product, Cloud & IT Services, Hardware, and Telecom

    • Prepare Category Strategic Plan; collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis on budget strategy and present Category Strategic Plan for approval by Manager of Technology Category and business leaders

    • Execute approved Category Strategic Plan, resulting in meeting/exceeding targets: savings, efficiencies, supplier consolidation, supplier satisfaction, and contractual risk

    • Strong advanced negotiator of IT with knowledge of best practices, benchmarking for each vertical and savings opportunities

    • Lead strategic sourcing events (RFx) professionally with success in matching exceptional suppliers with business requirements and sourcing event criteria

    • Execute varying terms and conditions required for key contracts within category and strong SLAs into all agreements to best protect LogMeIn from risk

    • Perform cost analysis and savings modeling

    • Researching, structuring and solving complex analytical problems, often using software such as Microsoft Excel

    • Making recommendations to stakeholders through presentations with advanced PowerPoint skills

    • Preparing and delivering presentation materials (e.g. slides, reports) for stakeholder communication and meetings

    • Conducting market research, contract compliance reviews and ad-hoc problem solving where appropriate

    • Liaising with stakeholders to obtain and interpret information

    • Working with staff and executives to develop and implement improved processes and methods

    • Supporting other LogMeIn Procurement team members and teams in sharing best practice and technical/market knowledge

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of Strategic Sourcing global experience in technology sourcing services in one or more of the following areas: Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Software Licensing, Cloud (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Google, Azure), Hardware (server components, OEM, white label assembler, etc.), Network Infrastructure, Telecom, Value-Added Resellers (VARs)

    • Strong advanced negotiator with proven record exceeding savings targets

    • Strong integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality

    • Be proactive and have a comfort level with working in an often-ambiguous environment, anticipating needs and staying ahead of them

    • Write/create cohesive documents to make business recommendations

    • Driven by building strong relationships as a trusted advisor and partner to category business leaders and Global Sourcing & Procurement team

    • Strong influencing and collaborative skills

    • Excellent Financial/Quantitative data analytic skills

     

    • Advanced user of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint & Excel (demonstrating advance use of charts, graphs, etc.)

    • Strong partnership and knowledge of key requirements of FP&A, Finance, Legal, IT/Security, and business stakeholders

    • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple demands resulting in business stakeholder satisfaction, achieving savings target through strong negotiations, mitigating contractual risk, driving positive results to support Global Sourcing & Procurement growth

    • Ability to travel globally, as needed

    • BA/BS required; CPCU or CPM certification preferred
