  • Overview

    As a Solutions Consultant-Sales Engineer at LogMeIn, you are the technology expert during the sale cycle supporting our Communication and Collaboration products. Partnering with the Field and Internal Sales Groups, as well as other cross-functional teams involved in the customer onboarding experience. Working closely with Sales and the customer, you will be expected to explain, demonstrate and promote our technology in a digestible way. Assist customers with their technical issues as requested by Key Account Executives where there is a retention risk or new opportunity. This is a critical role in helping our customers to understand the ability of our products and to ensure their experience with LogMeIn will be successful. 


    • Act as the technical point of contact during the sales cycle, running customized demonstrations, providing technical training, playing a key role in RFI/RFPs, pilots and post-sale implementation scoping 
    • Assist customers with their technical issues as requested by Key Account Executives where there is a retention risk or new opportunity
    • Define pilots/POCs by clearly documenting business objectives and success criteria 
    • Lead pilots/POCs by scoping, managing, executing and monitoring the process with the customer  
    • Understand requirements; be comfortable leading presentations and discussions with client security contacts 
    • Keep up to date on the competitive landscape and provide feedback to product marketing on product roadmap and direction
    • Work closely with other groups within LogMeIn to escalate/ troubleshoot any issues, providing detailed input to diagnose and resolve client issues
    • Communicate with clients by email, phone, online meetings and onsite visits for presentations and training workshops


    • Degree with Business or Technology/Software focus
    • Technical sales or pre-sales experience
    • Ability to present competently and confidently to clients
    • Ability to handle business and technical Q&A sessions during presentations
    • Experience of working in fast-paced SaaS product organizations
    • Ability to develop a solid understanding of our customers’ operational, web site architecture, security, and technical requirements, in order to map that information to a solution that meets their needs  
    • Ability to rapidly learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions  
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a 'get it done' attitude, helping to overcome any technical hurdles with the adoption and roll out of LogMeIn solutions during the pre-sales process
    • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills; self-driven, with the ability to work independently when required
