• Staff Sales Engineer

  • Overview

    Jive is looking for an outstanding sales engineer professional who will lead our expansion into mid-market and to pursue new business opportunities. You will interact with Jive’s sales engineers in a highly consultative manner to help them accomplish their goals in helping customers identify their voice/video and network requirements and provide the necessary design guidance that leads to technical sales closure and successful deployments of Jive's services.



    • Evangelize Jive’s leading Hosted Voice and Video Solutions to prospective customers through delivery of technical overviews and demonstrations
    • Interact with customers to gather voice/video application requirements, assess current network readiness, and create/deliver designs mapped to customer needs
    • Partner with Jive’s deployment team to successfully transition opportunities from pre to post-sales
    • Maintain continuous professional development including technical and sales/soft skills
    • Capture new or emerging customer feature requirements for incorporation into future product plans and roadmaps


    • A minimum of 5 years experience in the technology industry
    • Industry certifications (highly desirable) could include the following: Cisco CCIE (R/S or Voice preferred), CCNP, CCNA, CCNA Voice, CCNA Video, Adtran ATSP, and ATSE
    • Experience with enterprise-level sales
    • Knowledge and skills with an emphasis in a blend of IP networking (LAN and WAN) and Unified Communications
    • Previous experience in a pre-sales role within the telco or technology industry
    • Proven knowledge and experience in several of the following areas: IP/IP routing, LAN and WAN design and protocols, QoS, Unified Communications/Voice over IP/Video over IP, SIP, and firewalls/network security
