  • Overview

    Our expectations on this role is to support delivery by building motivated people and a productive and inspiring environment within the team and/or across organization:

     

    • Develop/grow individuals and their reporting teams, attract, retain and build talent
      • Identifying missing skills, evaluate maturity/ seniority and grow or hire individuals as needed
      • Provide coaching/mentoring to people to build their career
        • Coach them how to manage different situations (conflict handling, absence of team members, solve a technical challenge, learn huge amount of something new in short time)
        • Encourage them to be proactive, independent and always get things done. Find a solution effectively.
      • Foster a motivating and inspiring environment for individuals
      • Inspire and encourage individuals to take responsibility and ownership

     

    • Improve engineering efficiency and engineering maturity
      • Identify gaps or missing pieces in the technical processes and/or knowledge and evangelize for the industry best practices
      • Foster and support the implementation of innovative ideas
      • Influence the product roadmap to consciously balance between speed of delivery and sustainability

     

     

    Responsibilities  

    • People Management
      • Recruit, hire, train and mentor the developers within the team
      • Write performance reviews and provide quality feedback regularly to help people grow
      • Discuss and help guide activities to support team members' career development
      • Build the team: Foster a positive team environment in which people feel valued
      • Set clear and challenging performance goals for the team members

     

    • Execution and Development
      • Support relevant part of the development: design, implementation, testing, deployment, operation, and maintenance
      • Coordinate activities with other managers, Architects, and PMs to help the team members accomplish business goals
      • Analyze, develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the engineering
      • Build strong internal culture aligned with the company culture
      • Develop and engage with local tech community

     

    Requirements

    • Proven track record of working on SaaS products with a high volume of users/customers
    • Proven track record of understanding product development life cycles with various product maturity levels (from “green field” to “legacy”)
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in an engineering manager role or similar
    • Experience in enterprise level product development
    • Experience working in agile environment
    • Fluent in English
    • BSC or higher degree
    • Experience with AI technologies (e.g. NLP) is a definitive advantage
