  • Overview

    LogMeIn Global Procurement was formed in 2016 and has significantly grown to support the organization’s direct and indirect purchasing needs.  We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to lead the Corporate Services Category.  This role will be critical in scaling the Global Procurement function, driving rationalization of spend and performing spot buys and bids across categories.


    The Purchasing Agent must be a good negotiator, able to conduct spot buys and bids, negotiate contract terms and provide exceptional service.  LogMeIn seeks an individual who works well with Strategic Sourcing Managers and business stakeholders across all categories and can manage long tail spend.  This individual will report to the Director of Global Procurement and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting a growing area within the function.  


    • Support Strategic Sourcing Categories (e.g. Technology, Marketing, and Corporate Services) by evaluating global supplier spend, rationalizing/reducing suppliers and consolidating with preferred suppliers 
    • Strong negotiation skills to benchmark and negotiate pricing with approved suppliers; achieve savings targets for all tail spend
    • Build strong relationships with purchase requestors by providing exceptional service and support
    • Negotiate terms and conditions and strong SLAs with approved suppliers to best protect LogMeIn from risk using standard contractual templates and legal and procurement preferred terms and conditions.
    • Identify opportunities for savings and alternative purchasing solutions
    • Conduct spot buys and 3-bids sourcing towards matching exceptional suppliers with business requirements and benchmarked pricing criteria
    • Develop knowledge of Strategic Sourcing Categories to effectively source and support strategy and business objectives
    • Work with Financial Planning & Analysis to ensure purchases are properly budgeted and scoped
    • Responsible for managing Purchase Card Program and adherence to policy; collaborate with Finance/Shared Services on program
    • Manage contract approvals and maintain counter-signed agreements in database



    • 2-3 years of purchasing experience supporting multiple categories including Marketing, Technology and Corporate Services
    • Good negotiation skills with record of successfully negotiating savings
    • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple demands resulting in business stakeholder satisfaction, achieving savings, mitigating contractual risk, driving positive results to support Global Sourcing & Procurement growth
    • Strong analytic skills to evaluate spend categories and make recommendations
    • Self-starter who can own and execute projects efficiently and on time
    • Good presentation, written and oral communication skills, and listening
    • Proven ability to work on multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong system, process management and business partnering skills
    • Associates or BA/BS degree required; CPCU or CPM certification optional
