    ABOUT THE ROLE

     

    The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about solving user problems while fostering a collaborative & cross-functional team environment. We work in an open and collective environment simplifying how people connect to each other and the world around them. Your team is filled with inspired designers & researchers. Your job is to help shape the future of Webinars and expand the vision for intuitive and delightful experiences across platforms. You will be a hands-on leader who champions design culture at LogMeIn.  Leading by example, you are expected to provide mentorship and direction to the team members. The role can be based in any of our California offices (Mountain View, San Francisco, or Santa Barbara, CA) with willingness to travel to other locations.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Product Management, Research, Marketing, & Engineering teams to build strong partnerships and formulate strategic product direction
    • Create a superior user experience and oversee the product design process & team
    • Oversee and work closely with the research team to collaborate on solutions
    • Be responsible for every step of the design process
    • Lead a team of Product Designers and User Researchers while additionally recruiting, nurturing and retaining best-in-class talent
    • Drive / own product experience design decisions from beginning to end
    • Be a champion and evangelist for the UX discipline and the team
    • Measure, iterate, and deliver delightful experiences
    • Set team goals and metrics

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience designing engaging web-based software product user experiences
    • 3+ years managing a User Experience design team
    • Understanding of web-based software technology, its capabilities, and limitations
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment, while also leading process improvement efforts
    • Experience working with researchers in both quantitative and qualitative data gathering
    • Proven experience in team building, mentoring, and leadership
    • Power to influence others and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity
    • Self-motivated, a good communicator, and ability to balance great design with meeting short deadlines
    • Experience using analytics, user research and other approaches to help make decisions and iterate on the product
    • Experience facilitating Design sprints
