    ABOUT ROLE

     

    As a Sr. Software Engineer in the Communication & Collaboration organization, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining complex Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) production software for Windows and macOS.  Members of the development team enjoy a wide variety of opportunities, employing numerous development technologies, languages, and frameworks.  The role requires strong analytical skills, unwavering commitment to quality, a collaborative work ethic, and cutting-edge technical skills.   This position will be responsible for projects that are complex, challenging and exciting.

     

    You will be part of a team in an agile/lean environment, and by working closely with your team members, developers, architects and other key stakeholders, you will implement functionality critical to our business success.   At LogMeIn, our customers are our highest priority, and a customer-driven attitude is essential for resolving customer-reported issues in production.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, deliver and maintain high-quality Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) production software, specifically client applications on the desktop Windows and Mac platforms within an Agile development environment
    • Apply your strong analytical skills, unwavering commitment to quality, collaborative work ethic, and cutting-edge technical skills, to projects that are complex, challenging and exciting.
    • Work with Developers, Architects, Product Owners, User Experience experts and other key stakeholders, to design and implement the future of online collaboration
    • Troubleshoot and debug customer issues in production software

    Qualifications

    • BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
    • Minimum of 5 years’ directly related work experience (or less experience with an MS degree)
    • Experience in Objective-C and Swift, C++ and OOAD principles/methodologies
    • Experience in Mac OS X development and frameworks (preferred)
    • Experience in multi-threaded programming
    • Strong knowledge of internet technologies and web services
    • Solid understanding of configuration management and build tools
    • Experience and understanding of project management methodologies, including agile/scrum
    • Experience implementing, unit testing, debugging and integrating code of moderate complexity
    • Experience mentoring/leading an engineering team through a technical project

     

    DESIRED

     

    • Experience in Windows development and frameworks
    • Experience with JavaScript and web application development
    • Experience with application developments frameworks, such as Electron and/or React Native
    • Experience with mobile device application development (iOS, Android)
