    Here at LogMeIn, our Core Technology Group (CTG) is a trusted technology business partner for several internal functional teams, (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, etc.).  In addition, CTG delivers platforms and services to our 3 commercial software business units, (i.e. a portfolio of 20+ large-scale SaaS products).  Within CTG, our BDI Platform Engineering team designs, develops, integrates, hosts and supports various Business, Data and Insights platforms and services. 

     

    Currently, we are searching for a dynamic Manager, Quality Engineering to help manage and lead our Business Platform/Systems QE team.  Our ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on technical skills in software Quality Engineering, (e.g. Automation for regression and feature testing, etc.).  They will be obsessed with ongoing quality improvement and product strategy.  In addition, they will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively interact cross-functionally.  From a domain perspective, experience in the Commerce services space is highly desirable.

     

    Essentially, we're searching for a highly capable technologist and vocal leader with strong communication skills, confidence, and the desire to help lead others.  We are open to hiring this person at our Santa Barbara campus or from our Mountain View offices. 

    Responsibilities

    • Hands on designing, documenting and executing automation scripts for functional and system level tests to verify/validate software changes
    • Work with business and development teams to understand Commerce Platform vision and requirements
    • Understand how all elements of the multi-team services stack work together and develop QA approaches that fit the overall strategy
    • Be responsible for development of test strategies and creation of appropriate test harnesses
    • Oversee the development and execution of test plans and monitoring and reporting on test execution
    • Lead a team comprised mostly of SDETs to ensure the highest quality product delivery

    Qualifications

    • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent)
    • Strong leader with experience in implementing and shaping the company’s QA processes and strategies.
    • Strong technical skills, with expertise in Java 
    • 5-7 years of experience in Software development
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure QA vision is understood and implemented correctly
    • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary to drive your projects to completion
    • Advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognized Best Practices

     

    Preferences:

    • 2+ years experience in testing of web-based Commerce services

     

    Our Santa Barbara campus is made up of 4 buildings and an on-site gym. We offer a free bike sharing program to navigate around campus and to nearby shops and restaurants. During lunch, you will find our employees engaging in Bocce Ball, Pool, or Ping Pong. On average, we experience 70-degree days with access to the beach, mountains, and Los Angeles.
