  • Overview

     

    Jive Communications, now part of the LogMeIn familiy, is looking for an awesome Software Developer with a knack for building, troubleshooting, and operating complex distributed network measurement systems at scale. You will work with other Developers throughout the software development life cycle.

    In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. If you also have experience in Agile frameworks, we’d like to meet you.

     

    Responsibilities

     

     

    • Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts
    • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
    • Integrate software components and third-party programs
    • Verify and deploy programs and systems
    • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
    • Gather and evaluate user feedback
    • Recommend and execute improvements
    • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

     

    Qualifications

     

    • 5+ years of engineering experience in the software industry, preferably with distributed networked systems
    • A deep understanding of Java
    • Good knowledge of network programming

    • Experience with software development on Linux/Unix

    • Knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP) is a plus

    • Experience designing, implementing, deploying, and operating your own software and systems in a demanding production environment

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline, OR equivalent professional experience
