    The Senior Risk Manager is a senior position within the LogMeIn Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function, reporting directly to the Director of GRC within the Security Team. The role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of operational risk across the organization to identify, assess and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed processes, people, systems or external events, whilst maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and efficiency. This person will support the GRC function and Security Team to deliver a consistent, best-in-class service to its global customer base.

    Responsibilities

    The primary purpose of the role is to lead oversight and monitoring of all activities that have the potential to impact the corporate risk profile. The Senior Risk Manager will drive the identification, measurement, monitoring and controlling of all risks to ensure that LogMeIn’s exposure is within the established limits. The specific responsibilities include: 

    • Understanding of a risk framework, risk appetite, policies, procedures, and management information requirements covering market, technology, and operational risk;
    • Leading a proactive risk culture across the organization;
    • Driving provision and maintenance of an accurate and reliable risk profile for the organization, partnering with the business areas to ensure identification of critical business processes, and to ensure that all key risks are properly identified, assessed, monitored, controlled, and reported in a timely fashion to ensure theming can be undertaken to highlight and drive prioritization of systemic issues;
    • Defining and managing the control and process libraries, and assisting the business in implementing and documenting internal controls;
    • Undertaking independent assurance of the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’ management of its risks, controls and processes;
    • Contributing to effective governance

    Qualifications

    • At least 10 years’ experience across all risk types in a management capacity
    • A successful track record as a risk manager and good knowledge of the operational, financial and regulatory complexities impacting the business from strategic, operational and change perspectives
    • A broad understanding across market, technology, and operational risk
    • Gravitas and the capability to provide constructive challenge to the business and ensure risks are addressed appropriately
    • Strong analytical thinking and communication skills including the ability to research and understand complex processes and effectively communicate them to senior management
    • Demonstrated ability to perform process analysis and experience in designing controls
    • Experience in leading/delivering risk assessments and scenario analysis
    • Good stakeholder and relationship management skills
    • Personal integrity, the ability to lead a small team and take leadership of specific tasks and activities
    • Self-starter with the ability to deliver under pressure
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster a collaborative working relationship with multiple areas and complex business lines and
