    As a Software Engineer on our Core Technologies Group; Machine Learning team, you will help unleash groundbreaking insights.  Our Data team has built a state-of-the-art, highly scalable, public Cloud, Big Data platform with highly diverse and rich datasets from our millions of customers worldwide.  In this role, you will leverage our datasets and our Big Data platform to help propel LogMeIn to the next level.  We are searching for a Software Engineer with 1+ years of professional Machine Learning experience; ideally, coupled with Data Engineering experience.  If you are passionate about Computer Science, turning data into strategic assets, leveraging Machine Learning and data mining techniques, then LogMeIn and our CTG; Machine Learning team could be the perfect fit for you and your career.


    • Collaborate with internal, cross-functional business stakeholders, (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Care, Product teams, etc.), to identify potential areas where data and Machine Learning can propel LogMeIn to the next level
    • Establish robust processes to ensure the stability, accuracy, reproducibility and overall quality of all algorithms and processes
    • Work with Data Engineering and Product Management teams to understand LogMeIn data and identify the right data sets for mining
    • Use various Machine Learning techniques such as k-Means clustering, Random Forest, Regressions, SVMs, etc. to build models
    • Integrate our Machine Learning solutions with various tools and data sources across LogMeIn
    • Analyze, define and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems
    • Interact with business users, understand business requirements, and analyze and develop optimal technology solutions to solve business requirements


    • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, (focusing on Machine Learning, Data Mining, or equivalent)
    • Experience applying data analytical skills to Sales and Marketing
    • 1+ year of professional experience using Machine Learning to solve Artificial Intelligence related business problems
    • Hands-on experience with statistic techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, support vector machines, anomaly detection, recommender systems, sequential pattern discovery, and text mining.  In depth understanding of machine learning and deep neural network technologies; Natural language understanding (NLP) is a plus
    • Strong Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and distributed systems
    • Strong database fundamentals including SQL, performance and data model design
    • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, Java or similar
    • Experience developing Web Services, Rest APIs, etc.
    • Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, AWS Kinesis, Storm, Druid, NoSQL, Redshift and Graph Databases would be ideal
    • Experience in Salesforce.com and marketing tools is a plus
    • Experience with OO design and common design patterns
    • Energetic, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality deliverables
    • The versatility and willingness to learn new technologies on the job
    • Experience in Linux/UNIX environments is a plus
