• Expert webRTC Engineer

  • Overview

    We are looking for an expert for the web real-time communication protocol (webRTC).


    • Participate in the committees for the standardization of the webRTC of the relevant organizations (IETF, W3C). We are expecting somebody who will have the necessary communication skills to influence and advance the development of the webRTC protocol standard.
    • Represent the company at conferences as a global player in the market for real-time communication.
    • Build a relationship with all the major browser vendors to establish a network that will allow us to get information about upcoming changes and to follow up on compatibility issues with particular browsers
    • Collaborate with the developers to collect the relevant requirements for the development of webRTC. In order to fulfill your role as a liaison for the developers, you are at least familiar with either C++ or JavaScript as a programming language.


    • Master or Ph. D. level qualification in computing science, electrical engineering or another relevant subject.
    • At least five years of relevant professional experience with media signaling and transport protocols. Professional experience with the webRTC protocol is a strong bonus.
    • Ideally, you have some experience in working in a standardization committee already or similar professional experience.
    • Expert proficiency in either JavaScript or C++ with an affinity to API design. Professional experience in both languages will be a strong bonus.
    • Excellent communication skills in English. German language skills are a bonus.
    • Experience with in presenting complex topics in front of technical audiences on international conferences.
