    Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Payroll Manager will manage the payroll staff and the processing of the US payroll for over 2,200 domestic employees.  This position will be responsible for maintaining relationships with Human Resources, as well as our external vendor, ADP. 

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the processing of full cycle, US bi-weekly, exempt and non-exempt payrolls while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and company policy
    • Partner and communicate actively with Human Resources on employee compensation and benefit updates, as well as aligning and implementing streamlined payroll processes, procedures, and systems
    • Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
    • Liaise with ADP and state and federal agencies to address any tax notices
    • Oversee annual W-2 processing and distribution, as well as quarterly reporting and amendments, as necessary
    • Integrate acquired company payrolls
    • Manage and review processing of multiple off cycle payrolls for equity activity
    • Manage and develop payroll staff
    • Critically review and analyze current payroll procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
    • Operate payroll functions within the company’s internal controls framework
    • Communicate payroll matters effectively with all levels of staff
    • Develop and generate ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
    • Address audit requests from external auditors

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • 10 years of payroll administration experience, management experience a plus
    • Multi-state payroll tax experience
    • Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations
    • Strong communication skills – oral and written
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
    • Strong work ethic

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience working with ADP Comprehensive Services and ADP Tax Registration Services
    • Strong knowledge of processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now
    • Proficient in reporting out of ADP Workforce Now and creating management report
