  • Overview

    This Senior Engineer will work with the Engineering Manager and Staff Engineer/Architect to provide technical leadership to the rest of commerce team engineers in Bengaluru. As a senior engineer, this role is vital to help mentor other junior engineers and provide guidance to make the team effective. With the help of Architect, this role will take responsibility to ensure to uphold the coding and other process standards that are setup by other senior level engineers.

    Responsibilities

    • You will design and implement high scaling and performing Java backend services.
    • You will write efficient and maintainable software components, which are seamlessly integrated into the infrastructure of our leading products.
    • You will work in a cross-functional & multi-geo scrum team following test-driven development principles.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
    • You have proven Java, J2EE skills, and experience with current frameworks (Spring, Spring Cloud, MicroServices, etc).
    • You have proven experience on AWS technologies (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, etc.)
    • Advanced knowledge of Configuration Management tools, CICD, and related tools (GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker).
    • You have sound understanding of software architecture and design pattern.
    • You have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
    • You are always learning, are creative and open to new ideas as innovation is critical to our success.
    • Good communication skills.
