• Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Java & JavaScript)

  • Overview

    As a Senior Software Engineer on LogMeIn’s Real Time Communication Services team, you will play an important role in developing micro services and implementing business logic for products in our Communication & Collaboration business unit, (e.g. GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, etc.).  This is an exciting opportunity to help evolve platform architecture, deliver on media capabilities, and improve operability of core real time communication components for a rapidly growing, Top 10 Software as a Service (SaaS) industry leader.


    • Develop, integrate, maintain and test a highly scalable, fault tolerant, distributed software platform that is reliable and offers easy deployment and upgrade
    • Develop, integrate and maintain business logic for a portfolio of communication and collaboration products
    • Develop, integrate and maintain RESTful services that align closely with the distributed platform
    • Play a vital role in offering the ability to easily integrate and deliver new features and make platform capabilities easily accessible


    • B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent); M.S. preferred
    • Experience in backend development using Java, JavaScript and TypeScript 
    • Familiarity with C++ and Python is a plus
    • Experience with asynchronous, multi-threaded programming and distributed systems
    • Experience designing and developing API's and Web Services
    • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP); including, modular design and development
    • Knowledge of data structures, collections and algorithms and familiarity with Linux based systems
    • Self-starter, quick learner and able to thrive in a culturally and technically diverse team environment
