  • Overview

    Reporting to the VP of Marketing for the Communications and Collaboration line of business, the Director of Product Marketing will lead product marketing for our expanding join.me and Grasshopper product portfolio. You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to develop the positioning, messaging and go-to-market strategies for new and existing products. This is an individual contributor role to start but will have the ability to build a team in the future.

    Responsibilities

    • Define and lead the global go-to-market strategy and execution for the join.me and Grasshopper portfolio
    • Drive all positioning, packaging, pricing and promotional campaigns that ensure business targets are achieved/surpassed for the product line
    • Size and define market segments, understand the competitive dynamics of targeting, positioning, pricing, packaging and differentiation
    • Define detailed customer/prospect personas with pain points, messaging strategies, and where each persona fits in the buying process for the product.
    • Plan and manage the launch of new products into the market
    • Empower internal stakeholders; influence external decision makers, partners, and thought leaders
    • Effectively engage with partners across Marketing, Brand, Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success; liaise across various organizational levels to ensure the overall success of the solution lines in the market
    • Partner with the Demand Generation team to deliver compelling campaigns to target personas that increase buzz and awareness, drive qualified leads to the sales team, and demonstrate thought leadership
    • Drive the content strategy to elevate brand awareness and support global customer acquisition, upsell/cross-sell and retention initiatives
    • Partner with Product and Engagement Marketing teams to develop and deploy in-app messaging campaigns to re-engage customers, promote add-on services, and influence behavior to drive app-centric behaviors
    • Partner with Sales and Business Development to ensure they are best equipped to win with prospects and retain/renew/upsell customers
    • Partner with the Comms and Social teams tell a story to the press, analysts, customers and prospects that demonstrates our thought leadership, unique value and right to win

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years product marketing experience, with a balanced mix of both B2B and B2C  
    • Hands-on leader with experience recruiting and developing a team
    • Experience marketing within technology, SaaS or Cloud based is a must. Experience with Collaboration Software a plus
    • Strong eCommerce skills and understanding with high-velocity transaction models (eg. Freemium/trial-based)
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects at once, with multiple stakeholders, and getting products/features launched on-time.
    • Collaborative and team-oriented, with an ability to build strong working relationships across levels and departments
    • Self-motivated and doesn’t wait for prescriptive direction. Capable of working in a face-paced, dynamic environment
    • Detail and results oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution
    • Superior communications skills, particularly with writing and visual story-telling (e.g., PPT). 
    • Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences, from C-level to entry level.
    • BA/BS required
