  • Overview

    Works with a global Team of Telecom Engineers and is located at our office in Karlsruhe, Dresden, Munich, Dublin, Budapest or Herzliya. The Principal Telecommunications Engineer designs, extends and maintains components such as Cisco and Interactive Intelligence, call processing solutions while ensuring an uptime of 99.99%. Also, supports the global telephony infrastructure for 3000+ phone devices. This position will be tasked with larger projects such as the expansion and capacity upgrades, as well as be deeply involved with the day-to-day operations of the contact center and the phone systems.


    • Evaluates and implements of an Enterprise-grade VoIP monitoring system
    • Deploys SIP trunks and SBCs as a replacement for TDM-based trunks
    • Maintains business relationships with service providers and equipment vendors
    • Leads technical and contract discussions with telecom carriers to negotiate and order phone circuits and telephony services
    • Assists the customers of the ACD to define call flows and IVRs
    • Act as level 3 escalation point for reported issues with global telephony environment
    • Participate in an on-call rotation for alerts and system emergencies


    • 5+ years’ experience with Enterprise Telephony systems
    • 2+ years of technical operations experience a plus
    • Extensive experience with Cisco Unified Communications applications (CUCM, Unity, CER, UCCx) and/or interactive intelligence contact center ACD (CIC architecture, handler design)
    • Fluency with Basic Networking and web protocols: Ethernet, TCP/IP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP; HTTP, SOAP, REST
    • Advanced knowledge of VoIP: SIP, SCCP and H.323
    • Understanding of SIP call flows, including packet capture analysis, ladder diagrams, and codec negotiation
