  • Overview

    The Senior Network Engineer will work with a global team and be responsible for maintaining the design, integrity, and operation of the LogMeIn IT-Corporate network, including connectivity services with cloud environments and external business partners. They will provide expert technical assistance for high-level, detailed networking requests while supporting the day-to-day operations of the LogMeIn internal corporate network environment, consisting of 700+ network devices. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting complex network infrastructures in support of our customer needs, ensuring a network environment uptime of 99.99%. The position will require experienced liaison skills to work with other teams and departments across the LogMeIn   Product Portfolios.  Specialization in Routing and Switching, Voice technologies, and WAN infrastructures is required. This role will require abilities to contribute architectural designs and knowledge of networking Security best practices and compliance policies.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for leading the design, implementations, and sustainment of the highly complex internal corporate environment for LogMeIn.
    • Designs the network components with security and redundancy in mind; oversees testing and makes sure it is exercised according to specific time tables and ensures disaster readiness.
    • Will partner with all key stakeholders to ensure new features and/or fixes are swiftly rolled out with no negative impact to customers or overall network performance
    • Lead in defining network and system standards to appropriately benchmark them against industry standard practices and methodologies
    • Host and\or actively participate in meetings with key stakeholders regarding the roadmap planning and performance testing
    • Provide concise weekly updates to management and effectively present project status to leadership
    • Maintains business relationships with service providers and equipment vendors
    • Participate in an On-Call rotation for alerts and network emergencies

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in CS or ECE or equivalent experience
    • CCNP certification or equivalent industry experience required
    • At least 7 years’ experience with the network engineering and integration of large data center and campus network and enterprise level WAN, LAN and WLAN solutions
    • Fluency with Basic Networking: Ethernet, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, IPSec, NAT, DNS, DHCP, NetFlow etc
    • Must be proficient with BGP and OSPF configurations
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/2k, Catalyst 9k/4500/3800/2900 and Next Gen Firewall (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto & Fortinet)
    • Hands-on experience with various VPN technologies. (GRE over IPSec; DMVPN)
    • Advanced programming experience a plus (Python, Perl, SQL, JAVA)
    • Ability to be customer-oriented; willing to engage in discussions with customers, with aim of a quick resolution and customer satisfaction
    • Ability to solve large-scale, complex problems by successive decomposition
    • Experience juggling multiple responsibilities and prioritization of conflicting requirements with business goals in mind
